a few words before we begin...

The right way to keep is sketchbook is whatever way that works for you.

It's not about creating a book of perfect pages.  It's about exploring new themes, experimenting with new tools or working with your favorites.

We all have different skill sets and styles and no matter what yours is this challenge is for you.  It's not about making your sketchbooks look like ours or like anybody elses.

It's not about creating perfect pages, it's about having fun and enjoying the process

There's only 1 rule you have to follow and that is...

HAVE FUN!

  7. Thank you to all who are making this possible. I have never kept a sketchbook and look forward to learning how to start. As someone said, waiting for this to start has been more exciting than waiting for Christmas. Happy New Year to all.

  8. I, too, am super excited to start this challenge!! I was even able to convince my husband (who is a software developer -- a little more left-brained than right) to play along with us. :)

  9. I'm looking forward to this challenge, too. Rough end to 2010 for me so I'm working on creating a better year in 2011 and this is part of the process.

  10. I posted all about the challenge on my blog and some people thought it was MY challenge!

SO! I sent out an e-mail to my contacts with a cut 'n paste of your page on it. . .Then sent out individual e-mails to my clients bugging them to, at the very least, follow the challenge. . .then sent out a special e-mail to my clients who are really creative . . .then answered individual e-mails . . .

I want a "cut of your profits"!

P.S. I think this is really a fantabulous idea and I support you whole heartedly. Bravo! You've got a great line-up of artists.

    P.P.S. I took a class from Violette -- excellent!

P.P.P. S. I'm taking Silly 3 with Carla Sonheim. I took Silly 2 and it was THE BEST.

  11. Thanks for helping to spread the word Judith! I'd love to send you a cut of my profits but you'd be disappointed because the check would only be for $0.00 because as hard as this might be to believe - we are not taking any money from anyone for this challenge and that includes our sponsors!

  12. Hi, Happy New Year!
Can you help me? I tagged my second sketch with jan246; I didn't mean to. Unfortunately, I remembered- after I did it- that only one (and I tagged yesterday's sketch)should be tagged. I should have had more than one cup of coffee before I uploaded! LOL.How do I, or should I remove the tag?

  13. Hi Pam, happy new year to you too! I can't seem to find a way to delete a tag once you put it on a photo. I know that flickr is having some issues with tags this weekend and they're working on fixing the problem so it might be that it's just unavailable right now. In the meantime, don't worry about it :)

  14. Pam, I found a way to do it. If you click on the photo that has the tag on it that you want to delete and then hover your cursor over the tag a small "x" will appear next to the tag. click that x and it will delete the tag.
