finding inspiration

Maybe this happens to you too; you want to work in your sketchbook but you just can think of anything to sketch.  Well here's an idea for you that works for me and maybe it will work for you too.  Cut random phrases from magazines, catalogs, newspapers etc:


Toss them all into a bag and then when you're looking for inspiration reach in and pull one out.  Paste it into your sketchbook and you're off ...

  2. cool idea for sketches.. i do the same when i do my art journals.. an image will catch my eye then words from a magazine will enhance what i'm creating...

  5. That is a GREAT idea! Little abstract journal prompts. I have a binder with those types of headlines i like but I never thought to randomly pick one to use. Thanks Sue!
