Jane LaFazio here. My new fave water soluble Tombow pen on collaged book pages, with a little blue watercolor for the shadow. (here's my tutorial on drawing with the pens)

  1. I mentioned using a Tombow pen in a class I am taking. The question about lightfastness came up. I don't know how lightfast these pens are. Do you? Right now I have part of a picture taped to a sunny window to see what happens but if anyone knows the answer it would make it easier for me to respond before the class is over.

  2. Beautiful, as usual. How do you collage the book pages down? Do you coat with matte medium? I usually use matte medium as the adhesive and top coat, and so watercolor won't adhere to the surface. Your thoughts?

  6. thanks everyone! I don't know about the light fastness, but I work with Tombow's only in my journal. Jane D, I used Matisse/Derivan brand liquid acrylic medium, and it takes watercolor.
