Jane LaFazio here.

I think the background on this sketchbook page looks like the flowers are in the distance, in the fog.

I did a tutorial on my blog on how I created a layered journal page like this, using vellum for the overlay. Click here.

  1. It would be fun to experiment with this by printing on organza and using it in a fibre art piece. Hummm...maybe I need to go to my studio.

  4. I LOVE!!! Jane's CPS Workshop video! It really gave me a way into watercolor! I have branched out to apples and kiwis (and no other fruit is safe), but now I'm adding flowers as well! Thank you, Jane, for such wonderful lessons!

  5. Beautiful effect! I saw the post about these on your blog but forgot about it - thank you for the reminder! I tried one of these last night and love the way it turned out! (I like Linda's idea about using organza in a fabric piece ,too.)
